When did you initially start drawing?

I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, but it must have been around the time I got interested in tits and ass, that I consciously tried to get better at it. Nudity looks pretty funny when a 13 year old makes an attempt at it though. I think my puberty kinda got stuck this way and if you can’t find anything sexual or childish in my drawings, you’re not looking close enough. Things I picked up along the years are graffiti, manga, comics, tribals, etc. I dislike all these things in their pure form now, but I don’t mind being a blend of past interests.

Where do you tend to draw your inspiration from?

I’m inspired by love, sex and anything it leads to, like drugs, jealousy, rape, death and bitterness in general. I’m not trying to shock anyone, but I like to portray feelings that are considered temporary or not to be talked about at all. Sometimes I write as well and it often leads to an illustration. I’ve got a very negative view on life and I tend to just explore it, instead of trying to change things. If I’m feeling happy, I just draw boobs. The technique I use is what makes my drawings and distinguishes them from others. I can’t draw as well as I would like, because I’m obsessed with the shape of my lines, instead of the shape they’re part of. It might be what makes it unique, but it annoys the hell out of me because it’s a very slow process.

Do you have any people you look up to in your line of work?

I don’t look up to other illustrators, painters or whatever. Definitely nobody famous. I might like their work, but it kind of stops there. I do look up to certain musicians though. I wouldn’t be able to draw without music and it sets the mood of what I’m about to make. Right now bands like Sigh, Gallhammer or The Faceless are my driving force. I guess I’m just afraid of becoming a copy if I let myself be influenced too much by something in my own line of work.

What are your future goals and ambitions?

I don’t mind being dysfunctional as long as I’m passionate about it. I’ve come to realize I draw for myself, so I’m not really pursuing anything in art at the moment. Although I do enjoy the occasional assignment.
